Although Facebook has received a lot of positive attention for its inclusion of a woman, Sheryl Sandberg, as its Chief Operating Officer, the company has not appointed a single female candidate to its board, a characteristic that makes it a lot like other major U.S. companies that have zero women on their boards such as Urban Outfitters, Under Armour, and Zale, the diamond company.
All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: it was the willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their people in their time.
